Docstrive · Sep 2024 — May 2025
With Docstrive, we helped turn an early idea into a working mobile app that scales, protects patient data, and is ready for real-world testing with surgeons.
Docstrive was founded by two medical students who wanted to help surgeons to log operations and patient follow-ups. After each procedure, surgeons would be able to record the operation on the app, track the patient, and set reminders to review test results and monitor recovery.
The founders had a clear vision but needed support to structure the product and build a first version for real-world testing.
We first brought in a product designer to work with the founders to define the main user flows and structure of the app.
Once the design was complete, we built the mobile application using React Native (Expo). We focused on delivering the smallest coherent version of the logbook.
Our work included:
We prioritised speed and clarity, defining a realistic beta scope, validating assumptions early, and keeping product and tech closely aligned.
In a few months, the team delivered a functional beta version ready for testing with surgeons in real-world conditions.
For us, it was a valuable first experience building a complete mobile application and navigating the practical constraints of shipping and testing mobile products.
